One Mind and Inspiring Children Foundation are partnering to impact the quality of mental healthcare for adolescents and young adults. Over 75% of all serious mental illnesses manifest by the time someone turns 24 and according to the National Institute of Mental Health, 1 in 5 youth aged 13 -18 live with a mental health condition. Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death in youth ages 10 - 24, and 90% of those who died by suicide had an underlying mental illness. The average delay between the onset of mental illness symptoms and actual intervention is an astounding 8 - 10 years!
One Mind and Inspiring Children Foundation are laying the groundwork for a decade long campaign to combat this dire situation. The campaign will focus on three things:
- A society-wide advocacy campaign seeking universal access to gold standard mental healthcare for anyone under 24;
- Investment in mental health programs and research that will improve rates of recovery from serious mental illness to 75% within the next ten years; and
- A youth oriented education set of programs and a campaign that seeks to destigmatize and educate families about mental health treatments.
Your donations are an investment in improving not only the quality of mental healthcare for those aged 24 or under, but also ensuring that gold standard care is available to everyone who needs it.

One Mind is a leading mental health non-profit that heals lives through brain research, working from science to services to society. By bringing together the best minds in brain science and advocacy around our collective vision of “Accelerating Brain Health for All”, One Mind is advancing a three-pronged program strategy of accelerating discoveries, scaling implementation and transforming societal culture. Over the past 25 years, One Mind has transformed how we treat illnesses like bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression, post-traumatic stress, and other serious mental illnesses. One Mind’s emphasis on research is infused in their patient-centered services, as well as their educational and media focused initiatives that aim to dismantle mental health stigma and discrimination. Through their ASPIRe initiative, One Mind has the ambitious goals of:

  • 100% access to gold standard mental healthcare for every child and young adult.
  • A 75% recovery rate for kids who are experiencing serious mental illnesses.

Together, we are creating a world where all individuals facing brain health challenges can build healthy, productive lives. www.onemind.org

Jewel's Inspiring Children Foundation for 20 years has been empowering children struggling with financial hardship, anxiety, depression and suicidal ideation by giving them the ultimate environment to survive, then thrive at the highest levels. With teenage suicide up 60% and rates of anxiety and depression doubling (now even worse due to COVID), they have been at the forefront of helping to solve this epidemic. The program arms at-risk youth with everything they need to be physically, emotionally and mentally healthy in a fun and inspirational way, both online and in person. Their young leaders have been so academically, athletically and personally developed that 95% have been offered scholarships and admissions into the best colleges in the world including: Stanford, The Air-Force Academy, Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Georgetown, and many more. Most importantly, these children are being armed with a “psychology for life” that helps them generate their own motivation, peace of mind and contentment as self-actualized leaders.
